Two More FEIA Grads Turn Professional

By Michael Clarkson

The professional resume of Fort Erie International Academy is on the rise.

Two more of our graduates have turned professional – basketball stars Isaac Jack and Joshua Francis have signed with teams in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

Jack, a 6-11 forward, is now a member of the Edmonton Stingers after a productive season with the University of the Pacific Tigers of the NCAA Division I, in which he averaged 9.1 points per game and 5.3 rebounds.

“Isaac had an excellent season at Pacific,” said Stingers head coach and general manager Jordan Baker. “We are looking forward to seeing him make the jump to the professional level with us this summer.”

The Tigers, under legendary Canadian coach Dave Smart, formerly of Carleton University in Ottawa, improved to 18-15 during 2025-26, an incredible 12 victories better than the previous season.

Jack, of Port Alberni, B.C., who previously played for the University of Buffalo and Dayton University, makes his pro debut on May 9.

Previous to that, in 2022 Jack averaged 15.0 ppg and 7.9 rebounds as the FEIA Falcons won the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association championship.

Another FEIA alumnus, guard Jaden Clayton, one of six Canadians on the Tigers, broke the Pacific regular season record with 210 assists. Clayton had played three seasons with the University of Maine Black Bears.

Clayton, of Whitby, Ont., was MVP in the Falcons’ Ontario title in 2022 with 19 points and 11 assists per game.

The assistant coach at Pacific is Charles Hantoumakos, who built the FEIA boys basketball franchise before leaving in June 2025.

Francis, a 6-11 forward from Calgary and 2023 FEIA grad, recently signed with Calgary Surge of the CEBL after playing with Memorial University in St. John’s and the University of Lethbridge.

“It means a lot to be coming back and joining the Surge,” Francis said. “I’ve worked hard to develop my game over the past few years and I’m grateful for the opportunity to take this next step.”

The Surge opens their season on May 12.
